International ConferenceWe are looking forward to the International Transforming Education Conference that we are hosting in Darwin in July. Are you coming? It has been over 10 years since a conference of this nature has happened in Australia. It will be a great opportunity to be inpsired, informed and re-energised in the task of Christian education.
It is possible to turn conference attendance into credit towards a postgraduate degree in education.

How do I get credit?To obtain credit from attendance at the conference you will:
1. Attend the International Transforming Education Conference or one of its symposia so that you can...
2. Complete some reading, reflecting and writing.
When you do this for 3 keynote and/or strand sessions from the conference (or some other PD you have attended) you may be elligible for the unit ED481/581 Appraisal of Professional Learning (NB: a Master of Education consists of 8 units).
What does the reading, reflecting and writing involve?
1. You write a guided reflection on a presentation from the conference (see application forms below)
2. Choose two relevant professional articles and write two short guided reviews (see application forms below).

If you have already registered for the main conference and would like to register for a symposium please make direct contact with Leishman Associates and they will be more than happy to help you out.
Scholarly symposiumThere are 4 symposia that surround the conference. Students of the National Institute may well be interested in the Scholarly Symposium happening on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (10-12 July) before the main conference.
Attending presentations from this symposium can also be used to receive credit using the method outlined above.
